Montana de la rosa started training only four years ago at the age of 19.

She is a purple belt in Brazilian jujitsu. 
De la rosa made her UFC debut on the 26th season of the ultimate fighter. she won her first fight against Ariel beck by darce choke in round one. She lost her second fight on the show to the eventual winner and inaugural UFC womens flyweight champion nicco montano by unanimous decision. 
At the finale of the season 26 show de la rosa fought Christina marks who she defeated by armbar in round one.  She next fought Rachel ostovich at the finale for the ultimate fighter season 27. She won the fight by rear naked choke in round three. Her next fight is scheduled for February 9th 2019 at UFC 234 in Australia against nadia kassem.
